New Directions for Regional Festivals:
A FestNet Regional Festivals Forum on Artistic Direction.

Presented by Regional Arts Victoria in cooperation with the Castlemaine State Festival.

What is the cultural and political environment for regional Victorian cultural festivals now? What are the financial, political, cultural factors that impact on creating an exciting arts program? What support does the festival community need to encourage innovative programming? What are some practical ideas festivals can implement now?

Regional festival directors, professional or volunteer and their committees, along with artists and interested others are invited to explore artistic direction with experienced professional directors and six regional Victorian festivals that have recently reviewed and developed their artistic programs.
